In this 4 day intensive course you will have a fast paces introduction to pottery and various techniques.
The course is Monday to Thursday. It is great for TEENS and adults. Ages 15 years old and above.
In this course you will decorate with engobes and we will do the final clear glaze for you.
WEEK 1: JULY 14-17 HAND-BUILDING VASE, PITCHER OR PLANTER 11h-13h
This week includes 2 days of making, using the slab (plancha) technique. 1 day of adding texture, handles or other decoration. The last class to paint with engobe.
WEEK 2: JULY 21-24 NERIKOMI BOWL OR PLATE SET 11h-13h
This week includes using various colored clays to create a patterns such as marble, stripes, checkered and more. You will create either a set of two bowls or two plates.
WEEK 3: JULY 28-30 WHEEL INTENSIVE 11h-1330h
This week includes 2 days of wheel class and 1 day of trimming (cleaning the pieces). We will glaze the piece in a transparent glaze for you.
