Part 1: Matcha Bowl Wheel Throwing Workshop on Saturday October 17 at 12:30-14:30
Part 2: Make your own Matcha with Roke on Thursday October 29 at 15:30-16:30
Join Barro Cerámica × Roke Coffee for a two-part experience combining the pottery wheel with the ritual of matcha.
Part One —Barro Cerámica
Get your hands on the wheel and learn how to throw your very own matcha bowl. We will guide you through the process step by step, making this workshop perfect for beginners with little or no previous experience.
Once you’ve created your bowl, we’ll take care of the rest — drying, firing and glazing your piece at the studio. Your finished, food-safe matcha bowl will be waiting for you at Roke.
Part Two — Roke Coffee Matcha workshop
At Roke Coffee, discover the art of making matcha in your very own matcha bowl.
You’ll learn how to prepare and whisk matcha properly, explore the ritual behind it, and make your own cup to enjoy from the bowl you created the week before.
Clay first. Matcha next.
Made by you, enjoyed at Roke.
No previous pottery experience is needed!
